Mission Arm | exiii
Mission Arm and exiii are working together to make affordable prosthetics accessible for everyone.
Upper limb prosthetics are expensive and often not designed to be attractive for the wearer.
In 2015, Japanese NGO Mission Arm received a grant from Google.org to scale the use of prosthetic limbs in partnership with the prosthetic manufacturer exiii. Exiii uses 3D printing to create a prosthetic hand that dramatically reduces the cost of traditional prosthetics. This not only makes prosthetics affordable and more accessible to those who need them, but 3D printed parts can quickly and easily be replaced when needed.
By continuing to improve its design and making design files publicly available, Mission Arm and exiii will provide more people with access to a functional prosthetic.
