Building a community of advocates to map accessible locations around the world using a mobile app.
Around the world, inaccessible public accommodations and transportation remain a significant barrier to the full participation of people with disabilities in education, employment, and social life.
J’accede is an online platform that helps people with various physical disabilities find accessible public places. Based in France but available in four languages, J’accede has mapped over 75,000 accessible places to date.
Within the next three years, J’accede will build a community of 10,000 active contributors to help give disabled people a much more precise idea of the accessibility of their destination.
