Snow continuing across much of Northern Colorado this afternoon.
A storm system now over Northwest Colorado will move Southeast across the state through tonight. Snow is widespread over much of the area this afternoon and will be heavy at times through early evening. The Heaviest Snow has shifted south over the Boulder and Denver area this afternoon with lighter snow further north and east. Snowfall rates up to 2 inches per hour are possible in the heaviest snow. Since the snow is expected into the evening hours, expect road surfaces to become more icy and Snowpacked resulting in dangerous driving conditions.
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 pm MDT this evening.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will impact travel and result in power outages.
