A tropical cyclone will affect the the locality.
Winds of greater than 60 kph and up to 100 kph may be expected in at least 24 hours.

Location of eye/center At 10:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm “RUBY” was estimated based on all available data at 45 km South of Ambulong, Tanauan City, Batangas (13.7°N, 121.1°E).

Strength Maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Forecast Movement: Forecast to move West at 13 kph.

Forecast Positions
• 24 hour (tomorrow evening): 310 km West of Ambulong, Tanauan City, Batangas.
• 48 hour (Wednesday evening): 655 km West of Ambulong, Tanauan City, Batangas or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Recommended actions

These areas will have stormy weather. Residents in low-lying and mountainous areas are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living along the coast are warned on the occurrence of big waves associated with Storm Surge which may reach up to 1 meter.

• Expected out of landmass: Tomorrow early morning.
• Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate – heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the tropical storm.
• TS “RUBY” and the Northeast Monsoon will cause rough to very rough sea conditions over the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas. Fisherfolks and those using small sea craft are advised not to venture out over the said seaboards.
• Expected to Exit PAR: Wednesday evening.

    Include a charged cell phone, flashlights, batteries, matches, candles, fuel, food, and first aid supplies.

    Fields may be damaged by high winds and flooding.

    Avoid walking or driving through flood waters.
    Just 15 cm of moving water can knock you down and half a meter of water can sweep your vehicle away.
    Close storm shutters if possible and stay away from windows.
    Flying glass from broken windows could injure you.
