I love to see the smiles on the faces of students when they learn to play a new instrument and join in with the entire class to play a song. My favorite thing about teaching is making the students happy. I show them how to play music with passion and how to express themselves in ways they never have before. It has been proven over and over that music has the ability to positively impact the lives of my students. The materials that we requested ranged from electronic floor keyboards and percussion pads, to bells, chimes and rhythm instruments and they’ll give our students an opportunity to experience learning through a variety of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic activities. The creative ways that these resources can be used in an inclusion class are endless. The real beauty of music education lies in the variety of opportunities that can be provided for all kinds of learners.
